Work of replacing the thousands of Oak Shingles on the Spire of St Mary Magdalene Wartling has now been completed!
The spire looks magnificent and is a tribute to the skills of those that completed it, to all those involved in the planning and fundraising, especially our two Churchwardens, and equally to all to those that sponsored an Oak Shingle.
There were many messages and names on the sponsored shingles, from afar afield as the USA.
The shingles will last for many generation, overlooking the local farmland and the SSSI of Pevensey Levels.
